The Hose Burst Safety Check Valve is designed to protect hydraulic systems by automatically locking in the event of a downstream line rupture. Installed near a cylinder or component, it sustains external loads and prevents uncontrolled movement. Under normal operation, a light spring keeps the poppet valve open for free flow in both directions. If a rupture occurs, high-velocity return flow closes the valve, creating a hydraulic lock. An optional orifice can be specified to meter return flow and allow controlled movement of the load.
