The valve is used to hydraulically lock a cylinder or component by preventing a return flow until pressure is admitted to the pilot port. It is designed to screw directly into a cylinder end cap or manifold block thus minimising pipework and potential leakage problems. To allow free flow in one direction, the valve unseats when pilot pressure is applied to port A. The valve re-seats when the pilot pressure is removed.
